Last weekend it was the final stage of the STS competition.
This time even more countries representing. Jeff and Jonathan from the French DTS participated in this comp. So even more interesting to come over to Glasgow and enter the final competition. One day home after China I repacked my bags and left for Scotland. Paul was so kind to pick me up and drive me around town. We checked out the new Glasgow Boulder Gym and visited TISO to check out al the MBC kit in the shop. After a good night rest at Paul’s place I was ready for some action at Glasgow climbing center . A good looking venue build in a old Church. For the final stage there where 15 routes set. More than enough to have a good afternoon filled with drytooling, ladder pulling, bell ringing, tire pulling climbing style. So after a lot of fun with all the Scots and French boys and girls it was time for the finals.
Unfortunately there was a last minute route setting problem. A piece of tape rapped around the third log was covering a hole that made the move from the log to to the next hold almost impossible. I was able to touch the next hold and Jonathan was even able to stick the move and climb halfway up the route. So around 20:00 time for the price giving and enjoying fine Scottish whisky after..
