A other rainy weekend according to the weather forecast.
All over France it supposed to be bad. So we took the short drive to Presles only 65 Km from Crolles. With the Syncro it still takes over 1,5 hour to get there true all the small steep mountain roads.
A valley full of 300M high limestone walls.
Al the red stuff is brittle broken stuff so that’s where we climbed ;)
Thursday it was good weather so we climbed some nice multypitch route in the bigwall. And climbed some sport routes in the afternoon.
Friday it was raining in the morning so I practiced my Aid climbing skills with some top-secret new Petzl gear..
O Yes I love aid climbing see my happy face on the second of 6hook moves in a row.
Lucky me there are some old 6mm Bolds for progress in the route.
( after some research they hold between 3 KN and 5 Kn depending on the torque on the bold)
Saturday morning more rain. But also some sunshine, 10 a clock time for a other multypitch. The classic line on the Fari Kiri wall the Fari Kiri route. a 10 pitch 6c+ officially a trad route.. But today with a lot of spaced-out bolds. A route with some very nice pitches (for Marianne).
Great area with sport aid and trad routes. Don’t be afraid of the lose stuff its solid.. I hope ;) .
On rainy days there is some very nice sport cliff above the caves “grottes de chorance” (also nice to viset the caves)

So if you like to do a 300M A3 aid route, a 7 pitches 7c/ 8a sport route drive one hour south west of Grenoble to Presles.
