When climbing high alpine routes in wild exposed terrain it’s sometimes difficult to “keep them together” . Especially as a Dutch climber that is “bound” to the gym 3 days a week training staying in “mental” shape is quite difficult. So I thought a Good way to train is to make a High line… Well High; 4 meters is not really high. It’s too high to walk the line without fall protection… But too low to have a full lanyard. So the compromise a very short lanyard. . Still it’s very scary -no room to move- and fall so close to the ground… Even after some whippers I was scared shitless… Especially when I hit the the Window Shutter…. Still unable to walk the stupid line… :( Whatever just 3 more weeks to go for the real thing; Alpine..! :) Related
