A intro by Tom:
I figured it would be nice to develop these extenders for certain tools. I’ve made some in the past from solid aluminium. People would call them cheat sticks?! At that time I wasn’t ready to invest in the carbon comp tools they were climbing with so it made sense. So here for the folks an option for a little length upgrade.
The disclaimers and some info:
It fits the box! It isn’t cheating ;) It works only on the new tools, and it will probably void your tools warranty. But I guess using aftermarket picks would do the same? It is cut from 7075 aluminium and pinned together. It will probably break your tool before pulling apart. It is made of different plates for the intricate fixturing inside. Using grip tape is a must, the plastic will brake when not fully covering the rest of the handle. For assembly and all, just use a torx25 tool or use the original bolts. They only have one positioning option and weigh 120grams a pair. Each one made has been test fitted, they fit.
No PPE!
Only for competition climbing!
Might work on hard roof drytooling and other super steep stuff.
Definitely Not made for iceclimbing/ outdoor mixed climbing the plastic parts will brake.
If you did brake the 3d printed plastics side parts..
