Important Note: While the Gate Bumper and the Spine Bumper prevents unwanted loading, it does not stop “clean cross-loading.” It’s an excellent choice for applications such as Top Rope Solo, leader protection in simul climbing, and general climbing. However, for Lead Rope Solo, we recommend a special carabiner (details in table below) or a different solution, as impact forces may exceed carabiner cross-load ratings (typically around 7kN).
