This ultra versatile ice tool is perfect for mountaineering, alpinism and winter climbing. The Edelrid Riot axes are ideal as a first set of winter climbing tools, designed for classic winter mountaineering as well as lower to mid grade ice and mixed routes.  The design is not too aggressive, making it idea for chopping stances and bollards, but is still technical enough for torquing into cracks when needed.

The ergonomically formed, comfortable double grip ensures excellent control and secure grip when climbing, either with or without wrist loops.  A detachable ‘horn style’ hand rest also helps to protect the knuckles.
